1 Week To Go

Well, the Billabong Express will be rolling out of Florida 1 week from today and amazingly -- even afer 18 months of prep -- it looks like we're all ready. Ready in terms of physical preparation, anyway. We'll see how we do mentally and emotionally on this month-long adventure that will consist of 9 characters -- age 18 mos to ... er ... grandparent, 10 flights, 2 bus rides (I think), and 5 days driving 3 RVs on the wrong side of a 2-lane road into the middle of nowhere. Should be interesting don't you think?

Here is the itinerary:

Ft. Lauderdale - Seoul, Korea (via Atlanta and Chicago)
1-day in Seoul
Seoul to Port Douglas, Australia (via Brisbane and Cairns)
5 days in Port Douglas (www.martinique.com.au)
5 days on Dunk Island (www.dunkisland.info)
Dunk Island to Alice Springs (via Cairns and 5 days in an RV)
5 days in the RV
7 days in Alice Springs (www.desertpalms.com.au)
Alice Springs to Ft. Lauderdale (via Sydney, Brisbane, Seoul and Atlanta)

Hopefully we'll be able to post regularly to this blog and add some photos -- and I'm hoping the family censors maintain a sense of humor and don't shut me down. We'll see how far we can push.

Meantime, above is our excursion logo -- designed by Madeline Anderson.

G-day!
